I am a Nia instructor residing in Richland, Washington. Join me for classes at my home Nia Studio located at 1825 Howell Avenue (2 blocks from the intersection of George Washington Way and McMurry) in the giant converted shop. Currently, I teach classes Monday nights from 6:30-7:30 and Tuesday, Thursday mornings from 9-10, and Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:30.
I found Nia in 2008, and it changed my life. I never thought of myself as a person who enjoyed exercise, and I was delighted to find that at the end of my first class I was ready for more. Nia has helped me connect to my body, and today I am stronger, healthier, happier, and about forty pounds lighter.
I strive to create a safe space in my classes for students to explore their own relationships with their bodies. My classes are open to people of all abilities, ages, and experience levels.
Nia is a fitness and lifestyle practice created by Debbie Rosas Stewart and Carlos AyaRosas. Nia blends dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts to create a joyful, dynamic fitness practice that transforms the way people experience their body and movement.
